Just Speak, Incorporated
a nonprofit 501 (c ) (3)
organization
Our Vision
Just
Speak envisions a society of heightened social intolerance of child sexual
abuse, one of greater compassion and understand of victims and survivors; a
society that recognizes the "voice" of a child in pain, and where
trial is mandatory for known offenders. Our vision is a society who embraces
our children, and holds every adult accountable.
Our Mission
To empower survivors of child abuse, as well as the community to eradicate
child abuse by serving as a voice advocating against child abuse and for children.
About Just Speak
Just
Speak, Incorporated is committed to advocating for the holistic healing of
young people victimized by physical, sexual, and emotional child abuse and
neglect through education and training. It is our intention that by being a voice
for victims, they will become empowered to survive and make positive
contributions to our society. Just Speak seeks to increase social intolerance
of child abuse in our society.
We
are committed to encourage responsible and enlightened discussion about
abuse. We are committed to encourage teens and young adult survivors to
seek help. We are committed to meeting the needs of abused children,
adolescents, and young adults by supporting organizations that
provide shelter, spiritual, legal and medical assistance. We are committed to
increasing public awareness of current laws, statistics and
resources. We will support research, which might serve to reduce instances of
abuse; and introduce ways that will increase the healthy lives for our children. We are committed to
encourage and increase the support our justice system, educational system and
community leaders offer to abused children, teens, and young
adults. We
are committed to fight against prejudices and ignorance, which discourage victims
from speaking out by developing a greater understanding of the victim's
journey. The Just Speak staff, administration and volunteers support our
community with integrity, knowledge, diversity and teamwork.
While not everyone will or needs to
speak, someone must. Someone must be the voice for the silent; speaking against
the abuse that affects up to 40% of our children. Silence does not
stop abuse-Just Speak!
